Founded in 2006 by Gerry Cook, ICx Solutions was established with the intention of filling a major need in Alberta’s vast construction industry – the need for a truly independent and unbiased commissioning provider. Based in Edmonton, ICx Solutions has transformed into an industry-leading commissioning authority that has successfully taken part in hundreds of projects throughout Western Canada, working in various industries including healthcare, research, education, federal and provincial government, law enforcement facilities, industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings.

The team at ICx Solutions has 80 years of combined experience in commissioning, with a focus on delivering superior commissioning and performance engineering services for building equipment and systems that owners and engineers can consistently rely on for peace of mind. Our organization has a wealth of experience with and access to industry-standard testing equipment that are necessary to complete commissioning activities for projects of any size or scope.

Our team of experienced commissioning agents issue detailed reports which verify that building subsystems including electrical, mechanical, lighting, plumbing, sustainable systems, security, and controls during and after construction meet the expectations held by building owners, architects, general contractors, and mechanical contractors. Building commissioning manages the risk held by building owners and other stakeholders, ensuring that guidelines were followed, correct materials were used, and that LEED and BOMA certification standards have been met.
